En estos casos, los funcionarios de inmigraci\u00f3n eval\u00faan si la persona depender\u00e1 principalmente del gobierno para sostenerse en el futuro. Una nueva norma sobre la carga p\u00fablica entrar\u00e1 en vigor el 18 de septiembre de 2026. <\/strong>se aplica a todos.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\">Por lo general, la prueba de carga p\u00fablica solo se aplica a las personas que solicitan la residencia permanente legal (LPR) o la tarjeta verde por medio de un familiar (una solicitud familiar para obtener la residencia permanente).<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\">Si usted ya tiene una tarjeta verde y permanece en los Estados Unidos, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>la prueba de carga p\u00fablica no le afecta<\/strong><\/span> ni siquiera cuando renueve su residencia permanente (tarjeta verde).<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\">Si actualmente no tiene una v\u00eda para obtener la residencia permanente (tarjeta verde) por medio de un familiar en un futuro cercano, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>la prueba de carga p\u00fablica no le afecta<\/strong><\/span> y es posible que nunca le afecte.<\/p><\/li><li>Si ya es ciudadano estadounidense, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>la prueba de carga p\u00fablica no le afecta<\/strong><\/span>.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\">La norma de la carga p\u00fablica <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">no<\/span><\/strong> se aplica a muchos tipos de inmigrantes. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>La prueba de carga p\u00fablica no se aplica a las personas que solicitan la residencia permanente (tarjeta verde) mediante las siguientes categor\u00edas de inmigraci\u00f3n humanitaria:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">* Refugiados y Asilados<br \/>* Autopeticionarios VAWA<br \/>* Titulares de Visa T\/Us<br \/>* Solicitantes y titulares de TPS <br \/>* Inmigrantes calificados que han sido v\u00edctimas de maltrato<br \/>* Algunos liberados bajo parole<br \/>* SIJS (Estatus Especial de Inmigrante Juvenil) <br \/>* Entrantes cubanos\/haitianos<br \/>* SIV para aliados afganos e iraqu\u00edes<br \/>* \u00a1y m\u00e1s!<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section residencia permanente por medio de un familiar antes del 18 de septiembre de 2026, \u00fanicamente se considerar\u00e1n SSI, TANF, y la atenci\u00f3n de cuidado a largo plazo en una instituci\u00f3n como parte de la prueba de carga p\u00fablica. Los beneficios p\u00fablicos que reciban los familiares del inmigrante no se tomar\u00e1n en cuenta\nen la prueba de carga p\u00fablica del inmigrante.<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\">Un inmigrante que solicite la residencia permanente (tarjeta verde) por medio de un familiar despu\u00e9s del 18 de septiembre de 2026 estar\u00e1 sujeto a la nueva norma de carga p\u00fablica. Todos los beneficios sujetos a comprobaci\u00f3n de recursos econ\u00f3micos, es decir, aquellos beneficios para los que una persona solo es eligible debido a sus bajos ingresos podr\u00e1n ser considerados en la prueba de carga p\u00fablica, ya sea que los reciba el inmigrante o los miembros de su familia que dependan d \u00e9l o ella.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section la estabilidad econ\u00f3mica de un inmigrante son factores positivos que pueden ayudar durante la evaluaci\u00f3n de la prueba de carga p\u00fablica, incluso si anteriormente utilizo programas de beneficios p\u00fablicos.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b17d720 elementor-align-start elementor-hidden-desktop
